The Anniston Greyhound Bus Depot is open from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Fridays (beginning on June 18) and from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.


Description

The Anniston Greyhound Bus Depot will host a new traveling exhibit in June and July of 2021, as part of Freedom Riders National Monument's ongoing commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the attack on Freedom Riders aboard a Greyhound bus in May of 1961. 

Titled Emancipation and Its Legacies, this exhibit was created by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History and explores the legacies of emancipation in the United States.

Emancipation and Its Legacies will open to the public on Saturday, June 12 and close on Sunday, July 11. Updated public hours for the Greyhound Bus Depot will begin on Friday, June 18.
