Description
Meander through a color swept forest with a ranger. Admire the vibrant fall colors of the maple and oak trees of the region. Parking may be limited for the Cowles Bog hike. Arrive early and be prepared to park in auxiliary parking at the National Park Headquarters at 1100 N Mineral Springs Rd, Chesterton, IN 46304. Then use the Porter Brickyard trail to access Cowles Bog’s southern trail head. (Approximately 15 min walk.)
