Events occur throughout the day. Ranger talks, cultural performances, and other interpretive opportunities are staggered throughout the day to ensure that there is always something available for visitors to enjoy.
Description
Ranger Talks: Attend a 30 minute interpretive program on a historical or cultural topic related to the park. All talks start at the Grand View Terrace. Talk schedule is dependent on available staff. Please check in the Visitor Center or Information Center desks to learn more.
Studio Talks: Attend a 15 minute interpretive program on the carving process and history of the sculpture. All talks are conducted inside the Sculptor's Studio. Talks begin at: 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, and 3:00pm.
Cultural Programs: Join Indigenous artists, musicians, and storytellers as they share their culture and history with visitors. There are two types of programs visitors can choose from:
- Hoop Dancing: Hoop dancing will be performed daily on the Grand View Terrace at 9am.
Evening Lighting Ceremony: Attend a 45-minute program that includes a ranger talk, short film, sculpture illumination, and a veteran's ceremony. Program begins daily at the Amphitheater at 8:00pm. Visitors are encouraged to arrive fifteen minutes early to secure seating.
