Description
Visit the Discovery Space inside the Great Falls Tavern Visitor Center and learn about mules and their contributions to the C&O Canal! Mules played vital roles in the construction and operation of the canal, and continue to help connect park visitors with the canal's history. Through hands-on activities, you can learn about the different jobs that mules had, "adopt" your own mule, and plan a trip along the towpath.
The Discovery Space is open Wednesday-Sunday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
