Description
Filipino American poet Tony Robles will lead a virtual poetry workshop “Mabuhay Blue Ridge! Long Live the Poetic Landscape of its People,” from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. During the workshop, Tony will celebrate Filipino American History month and share important works from Filipino American authors. Workshop participants will take part in writing exercises that will bring to life the voices of their culture to blend into a Blue Ridge poem that is as sweet as (how Filipino American author Bienvenido Santos writes), “the scent of apples.”
