Spotlighting Stanton Weekend
Join Women’s Rights National Historical Park for “Spotlighting Stanton,” a themed weekend celebrating the life and legacy of Elizabeth Cady Stanton on her 211th birthday!
From Thursday, November 12 (the anniversary of Stanton’s birth in 1815) through Saturday, November 14, visitors can tour Stanton’s historic home in Seneca Falls. Enjoy pop-up ranger programs; family crafts and coloring featuring the sunflower (Stanton’s pen name); and an exhibit featuring Stanton’s music book. On Saturday only, hear from Mrs. Stanton herself (portrayed by Dr. Melinda Grube) as she describes life at the “Center of the Rebellion” and her role in organizing the first Women’s Rights Convention.
All programming will be hosted at Women’s Rights NHP and is free and open to the public. See the park calendar for special talks and living history program times and locations as part of the weekend event.
