Trail Beautification (National Public Lands Day)
Help us beautify the Turkey Creek Trail!
Volunteers can help paint, edge, and clear brush on this popular Big Thicket trail.
Meet at the Turkey Creek Trail parking areas on Gore Store Road, about 4 miles east of US Hwys 69/287, and 10 miles north of Kountze.
Volunteers are encouraged to wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and long-sleeved shirts, and to bring water, bug spray, and sunscreen. Park staff will supply all necessary tools for the event.

National Public Lands Day
National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is a day to celebrate and give back to your public lands. Big Thicket National Preserve is hosting 3 volunteer events on NPLD: trash clean-up, trail beautification, and planting a pollinator garden.
