Willow Springs Pony Express Station is on Willow Springs Ranch in the rural community of Callao, Utah, between the south end of the Great Salt Lake Desert salt flats and the north end of the Deep Creek Range. Monument at ranch entrance GPS: 39.900280 -113.714192
Significance:
This wood-clad adobe building is believed to be the original Willow Creek Pony Express station. Nearby grows an enormous cottonwood tree dating from the Pony Express era.

Local oral tradition places the site of Willow Springs Pony Express Station at Willow Springs Ranch in Callao, Utah, and a wood-clad adobe building at ranch headquarters is identified as the original building. Owners’ permission is required in order to visit the station. However, a Willow Springs Station monument, erected in 1939 at the ranch entrance on E Pony Express Rd, is open to the public.
