South Platte Station, also called Frontz’s, was a Pony Express and Overland Stage station located about 14 trail miles northeast of the Overland City/Old Julesburg, Colorado. Researcher Joseph Di Certo identified it as a relay station, where riders exchanged horses before continuing with the mochila. Most researchers name Frontz’s as a Colorado station, but Pony Express historian Joe Nardone places it in Nebraska near the I-80/I-76 interchange.  No visible station remains have been identified in the area.

No further information is available about this station.
