The Hike
The Birdwatchers Trail, located at the confluence of Menard Creek and the Trinity River, provides views of the sandbars along the Trinity River. The trail is 1 mile roundtrip, out-and-back.

The trailhead is located about 20 miles northeast of Cleveland, TX, and 3 miles north of Romayor. From FM 787 in Romayor, head north on FM 2610, then turn left onto County Road 2161, then left on Forest Park. Follow Forest Park into the woods until you reach the trailhead.
