What to Expect
The entrance to Fabbri Picnic Area and Memorial is located off the right side of Park Loop Road, just under a mile from Thunder Hole. Drivers will find an accessible parking space on the righthand side of the parking lot.
The bathroom facility is located on the left side of the parking lot. There are two unisex wheelchair accessible stalls at the front of the building, and separate men's and women’s bathrooms on either side of the building. To the right of the bathroom facility, visitors can find an interpretive wayside panel titled "Hot-Line to Europe" which describes the life and achievements of Alessandro Fabbri.
The picnic area is located on the right side of the parking lot, with nine picnic tables dispersed over the grassy area with paved walkways leading up to the tables. There is a single water spigot located near the edge of the picnic area and the parking lot. Additionally, there are pedestal grills located near the picnic tables.
Memorial Area
To access the Alessandro Fabbri memorial plaque, visitors must cross Park Loop Road via a painted crosswalk located at the opposite end of the parking lot. There is a short, paved path that climbs at a slight uphill slope to the memorial plaque. The plaque is affixed to a large stone which commemorates Fabbri’s establishment of the Otter Cliffs Radio Station in 1917.
