The Archway also contains a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities. This includes fishing in the fish pond, picnicking in covered pavilions, dry RV camping, and hiking and biking on the 13.2 mile Kearney Hike and Bike trail. Several statues with informational signs are found through The Archway's grounds.

In addition, the Great Plains Cultural Learning Trail travels through native prairie vegetation to a replica sod house. Interpretive waysides along this trail tell the story of the people who lived in the area, from the Plains Indians to homesteaders.
