This bus stop provides westbound shuttle service to the Village Historic District for visitors parked here —in Parking Lot A, a long, narrow lot with 131 spaces and centrally located.

Shrine of the Ages, a community auditorium, is used for religious services, ranger programs, and occasional special events.

At the opposite end of Lot A from from this bus stop is Park Headquarters. At this time, Park Headquarters is closed to the public, however, trip planning information is displayed on signs in front of the building.

On the west side of Park Headquarters, a paved 0.4 mile (0.6 km) spur trail leads to the canyon rim, connecting to the Canyon Rim Trail halfway between Yavapai Geology Museum and the Village Historic District. From the junction, turning left (west), is a 0.6 mile (0.9 km) walk to the village, or turning right (east) is 0.7 mile (1.13 km) walk to Yavapai Geology Museum.

The spur trail also leads to McKee Amphitheater, where evening ranger programs are held during summer months. The amphitheater is immediately north of Park Headquaters, just a few minutes walk along the spur trail. Many visitors park here in Lot A to attend the evening programs.

From this shuttle stop, the Village (Blue) Route bus continues west to the Train Depot, El Tovar Hotel, Bright Angel Lodge, and the Hermit (Red) Route Transfer stop before looping east and returning to the campgrounds, Market Plaza and Grand Canyon Visitor Center.
