Location Description: Picnic Grove 2 is a split area located along Beach Drive NW near Peirce Mill.
Picnic Grove 2 south is located opposite Peirce Mill at the intersection of Tilden Street NW and Beach Drive NW. There is a medium sized parking area with informational signs about the fish ladder that runs around the dam near the parking area. A sidewalk leads from the southern edge of the parking area across the Tilden Street Bridge towards Peirce Mill. To the north, there are several picnic tables and one historic grill.
Picnic Grove 2 north is located near the intersection of Broad Branch Road NW and Beach Drive NW. It is on the opposite side of the creek from Picnic Grove 2 south but the same side as Peirce Mill. Picnic Grove 2 north is not improved and has no tables near it.
Restrooms: No- The closest restroom facilities are located behind Peirce Barn or at Picnic Grove 1.
Parking: Yes.
Picnic Grove 2 south has a medium sized parking area.
In Picnic Grove 2 north, parking is only available on one side of the space as the other side is the thru-way for cyclists and pedestrians accessing the multi-use trail that goes to Peirce Mill.
Reservations and Permits: Both sides of Picnic Grove 2 are available on a year-round, first-come, first-served basis. Each side has a maximum capacity of 25 people.
