The reserve contains a gravel pedestrian trail that follows the trail ruts as they head along the rim of scenic Boise Valley to the start of the descent. Interpretive signs tell the trail story. In addition, the reserve is home to a stone monument that contains a bronze, 36 inch round "Old Oregon Trail" medallion, two other hiking trails that are more strenuous than the pedestrian trail, and a public restroom. This site is a particularly good place for children to run and explore the trail, and the view is impressive.
