Resource Preservation

Palo Alto Battlefield NHP has identified significant resources within park units. Preservation of these resources is vital to accomplishing the purpose of the park and maintaining its significance.

Ongoing Research

The park has continued scholarly research and data collection about the U.S.–Mexican War. Research conducted utilized the archeological record, primary documents, and museum collections. This has allowed the park to contribute to the public’s understanding of historic events that occurred within park units.
