CRC Temporarily Suspended

The Current River Challenge, the popular hike/float challenge conducted in partnership with Missouri State Parks, is being temporarily suspended due to closure of most trails in Current River State Park for a major renovation project.

While this closure does not affect any trails within Ozark National Scenic Riverways, the 4-mile hike from Echo Bluff State Park to Current River State Park will be unavailable and vessels won't be able to launch there for the duration of the project, which is projected to last about 18 months.

Options are currently being considered for modifying the Current River Challenge during the closure, and an announcement will be made as soon as a suitable alternative route is chosen. We'll post updates here and on Facebook. Stay tuned!
