The NPS Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program regularly hosts webinars on a variety of IPM and invasive species related topics which are open to anyone. On February 24th, NPS IPM Program will be hosting a webinar on Ballast Water Transport and Treatment of Aquatic Invasive Species. This webinar will be presented by Dr. Brennan Kessenich, one of the NPS Scientist-in-Parks, in which he will cover how ballast water is used, examples of aquatic invasive species transported by ballast water, current treatment technology, and the state of ballast water regulations.
On March 3rd, Sharon Selvaggio from the Xerces Society will be presenting "Pesticides & Pollinators - Understanding the Risk, a webinar on pesticides, how they impact ecosystems, and how to understand and assess the risks associated their use.
