Technical Preservation Services (TPS) administers, in partnership with the State Historic Preservation Offices, the Federal Historic Preservation Tax Incentives Program for rehabilitating historic buildings. TPS also develops and issues guidance and conducts training and outreach relating to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, which include the widely used and adopted Standards for Rehabilitation, and technical preservation information and assistance on the care and treatment of historic buildings.
The portions of the TPS annual work plan pertaining to guidance and other publications, training, and outreach that we intend to undertake in the current fiscal year are published here. The work plan is subject to change, dependent on our capacity and other priorities. Comments and suggestions on the work plan may be submitted to TPS at any time at NPS_TPS@nps.gov and will be used by TPS to help us identify, prioritize, and develop possible new guidance, training, and other information for current and future work plans.
