Cole Brusa has been selected as the Information Technology (IT) Specialist – IT Pathways intern for the Division of Fire and Aviation’s Branch of the Information Technology & Resource Management (ITRM).
Cole is a student at Boise State University where he began in 2020 and will graduate in May 2024. Pursuing his pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Cybersecurity, Cole has taken various classes during his academic career to include data structures, microprocessors, digital systems, and more. The Pathways position is Cole’s first federal job.
From 2018 to 2019, Cole worked as a Controls Intern for a private company before beginning his academic pursuits. While there, he worked on various projects relating to assembling and creating system control panels, designing and retrofitting internal systems, and assembly/maintenance of company equipment.
NPS ITRM branch chief, Erik Torres-Jacquez stated “we are excited that Cole has joined our team. Given his passion for technology and drive to learn, he will be instrumental in providing IT support to the division.”
In his free time Cole enjoys dirt biking, skiing, and spending time with friends and family.
