WASHINGTON — The National Park Service (NPS) is proud to announce a new collaboration with Google Arts & Culture with the launch of the United Parks of America virtual hub. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in making America’s national parks and historic treasures accessible to everyone, regardless of location.
The new hub features more than 150 curated stories and 30 virtual tours, helping visitors explore the majesty of America’s scenic landscapes and discover artifacts that tell the nation’s story from anywhere in the world. Through cutting-edge technology—including 3D models, AI-powered guides and immersive storytelling—the public can now interact with park resources in ways never before possible.
"As we celebrate our 110th birthday during National Park Week, one of our biggest priorities is access—engaging people in new ways and making sure as many people as possible can experience these special places," said Jessica Bowron, National Park Service Comptroller, exercising the delegated authority of the Director. "Working together with Google Arts & Culture allows us to share the natural wonders and historic significance of our parks with people, even those who might never get to visit in person. This collaboration ensures America’s story will endure and remain accessible to everyone."
The United Parks of America hub brings both natural wonders and cultural history to life for a global audience. Whether hiking trails in person or exploring 3D historical artifacts online, everyone is invited to find their park and connect with the history that shapes us.
The launch of this virtual hub is part of a coordinated National Park Week campaign, including updated park stories and a promotional video highlighting this partnership. The NPS and Google Arts & Culture are committed to providing innovative and engaging ways for the public to interact with America’s parks, ensuring these treasures remain accessible for generations to come.
