PORT ANGELES, WA: A search began in the park yesterday for Sajean Geer, a 71 year old Port Angeles resident missing for several days, after her vehicle was identified at the Obstruction Point trailhead by park law enforcement.
Geer is described as being 5’1” tall and weighing 105 pounds. A photo and more information is available on the following page. Geer was reported missing by her family July 19. A hasty search found no evidence of Geer yesterday in the vicinity of her vehicle.
There are currently 19 searchers in the field including National Park Service employees, Clallam County Search and Rescue, and Kitsap County Search and Rescue. There is a search dog on scene. The park is preparing for aerial search operations this afternoon.
To allow the search to progress efficiently we ask the public to refrain from visiting the Obstruction Point area at this time.
We ask anyone who visited the Obstruction Point area in the last few days who may have seen Ms. Geer to please call the park immediately at 360-565-3115. Information from other hikers is often extremely valuable during searches.
