Nicodemus Historical Society

The five historic buildings of Nicodemus are physical expressions of the five pillars that continue to anchor African American communities today: self-government, home, church, business, and education.
Download the NPS app to access an audio tour of all five buildings.

Informational brochures and Junior Ranger books are available at the visitor center. Call us at (785) 839-4233 or email us if you need us to mail physical copies to you.

Connect with Nicodemus National Historic Site on Facebook and Instagram to stay updated and take a deeper dive into the town's history and traditions.

We offer several educational opportunities including field trips, classroom visits, and distance learning programs for teachers, schools, educators, and civic groups.
