New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park and New Bedford Art Museum/ArtWorks! have joined forces to provide teens with a FREE introductory series on podcasting led by artist and AmeriCorps VISTA Dan Everton. This program is open to 8 students, ages 14-17 from the Greater New Bedford area. AirWaves Podcast Class will offer four classes on Wednesdays starting August 8th and ending on August 29th from 1:00 - 5:00 PM. The podcasting locations will alternate between New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park Visitor Center (33 William St. New Bedford, MA 02740) and the New Bedford Art Museum/ArtWorks!. Students will be dropped off and picked up at the Park’s Visitor Center and must provide their own transportation. Students will be ready to leave by 5:00 PM. To join the class, please email e-mail us or Deverton@newbedfordart.org for a copy of the application or stop by our Visitor Center at 33 William St. New Bedford, MA 02740 for a copy. Fill out the application completely and submit it either in person at the Visitor Center or via email to the addresses above. Applicants must include a brief statement on why they want to join. Students will be interviewed over the phone or in person and will be notified by July 27th that they have been selected. Application deadline is July 18th. |
