What Does the Junior Ranger Service Corps do?
The Junior Ranger Service Corps meets twice a month. One meeting will be a learning experience and the second meeting will be an opportunity to contribute and serve the community. For example: there may be a learning experience on New Bedford's role in the Underground Railroad. Then later that month, members would have the opportunity to set up an exhibit in the Visitor Center displaying something they discovered during their learning experience.
When does the Junior Ranger Service Corps meet? The Junior Ranger Service Corps meets once a month from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. In addition, participants commit to one service hour per month (Usually for a special event, AHA! night, festival, or park program).
What does it cost to join?
Nothing! All activities and materials are free to members. All we ask is that you attend regularly and make the minimum commitment of contributing one service hour per week.
