Dwight D Eisenhower Memorial Construction
Schedule:Project currently in design Construction anticipated to begin Summer, 2012
Location:South side of Independence Ave, SW, across from the Smithsonian Air & Space museum
Goals of project:
•Build a memorial to Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th President of the United States.
Impacts to consider:
•Construction traffic entering and exiting Independence Ave.
•Site will have viewing portals, but otherwise will be screened from view by fencing
•There will be an illustrative sign near the site.
