Washington –The National Park Service has selected City Sightseeing Washington DC, Inc., dba Big Bus Tours, to provide interpretive transportation services at National Mall and Memorial Parks for the next ten years.
Under the contract, Big Bus Tours will provide narrated tours, including multi-lingual services, to approximately 17 stops between Columbus Plaza at Union Station and Arlington National Cemetery. including memorials, museums and other attractions, around the National Mall. The stops include access to more than 50 monuments, museums and attractions on and around the National Mall.
The new concessions contract is for ten years and includes a franchise fee that will be returned to the government each year based on the number of passengers. The effective date of the new contract is January 1, 2026. Big Bus Tours has been providing interpretive transportation services on the National Mall since 2012 and is the largest operator of open-top sightseeing tours in the world, providing sightseeing tours in over 25 cities across four continents.
