WASHINGTON – The National Park Service has awarded a new contract to operate food, beverage, and retail kiosks on the National Mall to Taste of History LLC. The agreement will take effect on May 1, 2026, and will run for ten years. The contract was awarded under the Visitor Experience Improvements Authority, a law that allows the NPS to modernize and expand visitor services in national parks.
Under the agreement, Taste of History LLC will operate eight permanent kiosk locations between the Lincoln Memorial and the National Air and Space Museum, and up to 25 seasonal pushcarts across the National Mall. The company will also be responsible for maintaining the facilities and managing capital improvements, helping ensure that the millions of people who visit “America’s Front Yard” each year have access to updated, reliable, and high‑quality services.
