NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC Pursuant to 36 C.F.R. § 1.5, and effective beginning June 3, 2026, the National Park Service is imposing a temporary closure of portions of the Ford’s Theater National Historical Site including the Theater and the Museum for the necessary purpose of conducting facility upgrades related to fire and life safety. Please note this closure does not include the Atlantic Lobby, Petersen House, or the Center for Experiential Learning, which will remain open to the public. Specifically, the Theater and museum areas will be closed to the public from June 3, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The Theater will remain closed until July 31, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The museum will remain closed until August 15, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The temporary closure of the theater space and the museum will allow for the completion of the facility construction project in a safe and timely manner and enable improved protection of public safety and park resources. In the event work is completed ahead of schedule or can accommodate visitor access while the balance is completed, closures for each site will be lifted as soon as safely possible and the public will be notified. These closed park areas are delineated in the attached map. The National Park Service appreciates the public's cooperation in this matter. Kevin L.
