Visitor Services

Volunteers in interpretive/orientation capacities assist visitors and help create a hospitable, informative and visitor-centered environment. Volunteers may share historical and cultural information as well as provide directions and orientation to park sites and surrounding areas. Volunteers may also have opportunities to assist with formal interpretive programs such as leading tours. Other duties include monitoring and recording visitation, encouraging the sharing of stories, maintaining brochure/map stock, and reporting safety, security, and maintenance concerns and emergencies.
