Trails and Rails

Volunteers and Park Rangers next to a train
The Trails & Rails program is a partnership between Amtrak and the National Park Service that provides educational opportunities for travelers on the heritage and natural resources in the Northeast Corridor while traveling by Amtrak. Volunteers help facilitate a connection between riders’ interests and what their destination offers. Trails & Rails volunteers at the National Mall travel between DC and New York City, and in commemoration of America’s 250th birthday, DC and Williamsburg, VA. Contact us to sign up.
