To our many National Mall Supporters and Partners, The national parks and the programs of the National Park Service were built on partnerships. For more than 100 years, partnership has been at the core of what we do. This partnership tradition is, and will continue to be, critical to the success of National Mall and Memorial Parks. My goal as superintendent, and the goal of our Chief of Partnerships, Robin Nixon, is to nurture and strengthen our existing partnerships and continue to create new ones. Together we manage over 1,000 acres of green space in the nation’s capital—from iconic memorials and historic museums to neighborhood and community parks, statues, and popular outdoor spaces.
