Notice to the Public: Temporary Closure of the Center Turf Panel in Lincoln Park

April 2, 2026: The National Park Service is imposing a temporary closure of the center turf panel in Lincoln Park, one of the Capitol Hill Parks. This area will be closed to the public beginning at 12:00 a.m. April 4, 2026, and continuing until July 3, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

Violation is prohibited. A map illustrating the closed park area is attached.

This temporary closure is necessary to protect the park’s natural and cultural resources during a comprehensive turf restoration which will improve the visitor experience.

Persons using these park areas should remove themselves and any property from the closed areas by 11:59 p.m. on April 3, 2026.

The National Park Service appreciates the public’s cooperation in this matter.
