Old Faithful in Eruption

William Henry Jackson
1872

Jackson brought a larger-format 11 x 14 inch camera to Yellowstone in 1872. He rephotographed the locations he had explored the previous year with more clarity, as well as new areas such as the Firehole Basin. He also brought an 8 x 10 inch camera and stereoscopic camera with two lenses that created the dual image seen here.
