Congressional Gold Medal

This gold Medal was presented to General Ulysses S. Grant for his victory at Vicksburg. The die for the gold medal awarded to Gen.Grant by resolution of Congress Dec. 17, 1863, was engraved by Mr. E. R. Paquet, a private engraver of Philadelphia.
