Lieutenant Colonel John Ira Mulzac Collection

Known affectionately as, "Daddy John," Lieutenant Colonel John Ira Mulzac (1923-2015) was an original Tuskegee Airman who amassed 15,000 hours in the air. A decorated pilot, Lieutenant Colonel Mulzac served his country as part of the Army Air Forces and the United States Air Force in the Second World War, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. When not in active service, Lieutenant Colonel Mulzac served as a proud member of the New York City Fire Department, as a sky marshal, and as a U.S. Customs Inspector.
