New Statue of Liberty Museum

The new Statue of Liberty Museum on Liberty Island opened to the public in May 2019. It enables over four million visitors a year to experience the Statue of Liberty and be inspired by the Statue's history and message of freedom and opportunity.

The Museum was designed to enable visitors to explore meaningful museum objects and discover a deeper understanding of the National Monument's history. It provides a stunning new destination on Liberty Island and enhances the visitor experience.

The Statue of Liberty Museum represents a unique opportunity for the National Park Service and the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation to extend their legacy of cultural and environmental stewardship.
