Horse Blanket
c 1925-1945
This blanket was intended as a decorative element that draped over the horse’s rump just behind the saddle. It consists of Melton wool stitched onto a lining made from old flour sacks. Trim and decorative elements of velvet and flannel along with two full otter pelts form the primary designs. Ribbon tassels and brass bells complete the design.
