Hoops

Rolling a hoop down the sidewalk or street was a popular game for girls or boys—one of the few both could play.  It took some skill to keep the hoop upright and rolling along the uneven boardwalks or mud streets.  Hoops like these have been found around the Lincolns’ neighborhood.
