Bowl
Cochiti Pueblo
c 1960
By Teresita Romero
Cochiti Pueblo has a long tradition of making figures of people and animals. Here the potter has added two three-dimensional frogs to the bowl. Frogs and other creatures associated with water are recurring Pueblo decorative motifs, as water is so important to farming people in dry country.
