Part of a set of sixteen images of Pueblo officials painted on glass plates. This shows a Fiscale [Spanish for churchkeeper] carrying the “cane of authority” which represents his office. This work was commissioned by Bandelier National Monument under the Works Progress Administration [WPA] program.
