Frank L. Johnson was a correctional officer at the US Penitentiary at Alcatraz and other Federal prisons from 1923 to 1953. Upon his retirement, he received a letter of congratulations from Bureau of Prisons Director James V. Bennett and an award signed by Attorney General Herbert Brownell.
