Download a brochure of events.

Saturday, April 30 at 11:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 1 at 1:00 p.m. Monocacy National Battlefield will host "Debate: Union or Disunion!" at City Hall, 101 North Court Street, Frederick, MD. As the fabric of the nation was torn asunder, Marylanders would have to decide whether or not secede. Come and hear legislators debate, join in the crowd with citizens in period dress, then decide for yourself the fate of the state!

A display with additional information about Maryland's possible secession will be available at the Monocacy National Battlefield visitor center.

The park visitor center is open daily from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Trails are open until dusk.
