With elevations ranging from 800 feet to nearly 8000 feet, Mojave National Preserve hosts a variety of life zones and habitats. Major plant habitats include creosote bush scrub, Joshua tree woodland, cactus yucca scrub, pinyon-juniper woodland, desert riparian zones, and desert dunes. Water and geology play huge roles in the creation and stability of ecosystems. |
