HIGH FIRE DANGER FIRE RESTRICTIONS NATIONAL PARK SERVICE MOJAVE NATIONAL PRESERVE AND CASTLE MOUNTAINS NATIONAL MONUMENT This Fire Prevention Order, High Fire Danger, includes the National Park Service lands within Mojave National Preserve and Castle Mountains National Monument under authority of 36 C.F.R. 2.13 (c). The restrictions in this Fire Prevention Order, High Fire Danger, are necessary to prevent wildfire during this period of hot dry conditions leading to rapidly increased potential for wildland fires in California. Effective at 12:01 a.m. PST on Wednesday June 10th, 2026, and until rescinded, the following acts are prohibited:
Violations of this Fire Prevention Order are punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 or imprisonment of not more than 6 months, or both (Title 36, Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.13 (c) under the National Park Service).
