The National Park Service provides several services at the national monument and strives to improve access to information and experiences for all visitors. Physical AccessibilityVisitor Center and MuseumThe visitor center is a modern building, with wheelchair accessible doorways and restrooms. The video room and museum exhibits are all housed on the first floor. No stairs necessary. Handicap parking spaces are available on the north side of the building. Paved sidewalks connect the building to the parking lot. A sidewalk on the south side of the building heads toward the neighboring Mill Springs National Cemetery. There is an informational sign and ample turning room at the end of the path. Zollicoffer ParkPaved sidewalks lead to multiple park points of interest, including the Zollicoffer monument and mass grave marker. Benches are found on relatively flat mixed terrain. The Ravine Trail may be difficult for visitors with mobility issues. The first part of the trail (and accompanying signs) is on a relatively flat, grassy field. The trail continues downhill into a ravine and through the woods. |
