Guided Walking Tours During the anniversary weekend, programs on various parts of the battle and the lives of those who witnessed or experienced it will be provided. These programs will be range from 45min to 90min, often involving significant walking, occasionally over rough terrain. Water, headgear, sun protection, insect repellent, and sturdy walking shoes are highly recommended.

Location: Tour Starts from outside the Henry Hill Visitor Center Living History at the Brawner Farm Visit the Brawner Farm all weekend to experience the sights, sounds, and smells of the American Civil War. All Day Opportunities Visit one of the few original structures left in the park that witnessed the Second Battle of Manassas and hear about the story of widow Lucinda Dogan and her family. Returning home after the battle, they found hundreds of dead, dying, and wounded Union soldiers in their yard. Lucinda’s kindness to these men and her family's humanitarian efforts were never forgotten by them, and she would be lauded in 1906 when they returned to dedicate monuments to their regiments. Visit Mrs. Dogan’s wartime home to learn more about the Dogan family living in the small community of Groveton and how they moved on after the battle.
Parking is available at Tour Stop #8. Join park Cultural Resources staff to discover what we can learn about the battles of Manassas by looking for what lies underneath the ground! This is a hands on station for kids of all ages to learn about archeology through an interactive experience.
