The National Park Service invites you to join a community celebration recognizing 30 years of preserving, protecting, and interpreting the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The celebration will take place on Auburn Avenue between Boulevard and Howell Street (the Birth Home block). Enjoy the grand reopening of the Eastern National Bookstore and Gift Shop. Experience other featured activities including a book signing by Dr. Christine King-Farris and Dr. Angela Watkins, the sister and niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Relive history through storytelling, music, and costumed characters from the 1930s.
