Chesapeake Bay Program

Improving the water quality throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed will support the overall restoration efforts of the Chesapeake Bay and will improve the health of all inhabitants of the Bay’s waters and the surrounding watershed, including humans. To achieve better water quality in the watershed, Watershed Implementation Plans (WIPs) are set in place to restore water quality in certain areas and regions of the watershed. NPS Chesapeake is supporting the Chesapeake Bay Program in implementing actions to achieve the Water Quality Goal. The articles below highlight some of the important work happening to make this goal a reality. To learn more about the Water Quality Goal, please click here.
