What We Do

The National Park Service protects parks and shares their stories—and works with communities on conservation, preservation, and recreation projects.

Arizona National Park Service units are supported by the Southern Arizona office (SOAR) located in Phoenix. SOAR helps to promote education, conservation, and visitor enjoyment. SOAR supports the Arizona Park Service sites with all facets of operations (administration, visitor services, resource protection, facilities, and natural and cultural resources), as well as facilitating statewide relationships.
